Excuses {No Excuses}
Here are some of the excuses I hear from my clients before they book. Make sure you read #5!!
Don’t we all! Speak to almost any woman and she will tell you that she could stand to lose at least 5 lbs and then she’ll do a shoot. I’ve heard it time and time again. Kudos to the gal who feels like she needs to lose weight but pushes through her blocks and is amazed (and I do mean AMAZED) at her photographs. She doesn’t realize how gorgeous she is until she sees herself in a boudoir shoot! Every women is beautiful by design. It doesn’t matter her age, her height, her weight, her status. She is beautiful. Women see the bits of themselves that they hate. They cling to them. But they never see their whole self. It is only when they allow themselves to be vulnerable and be photographed will they see their true authentic self.
Who does? We make time for everyone but ourselves. We are the nurturers, the caretakers, the center of the family’s universe. We do it all from holding down a full time job to caring for the family, prepping dinners, and chauffeuring the children from one practice to another. The list goes on. But we never take time for ourselves. What if I told you that taking the time to do a boudoir session for yourself will change the way you think about yourself? What if I told you that you will fall in love with yourself all over again and by doing so you will greet the world with love of self, confidence and a renewed sense of spirit? Don’t take my word for it. Carve out the time and watch the magic happen. And, it will happen.
It’s a luxury item. But there is no dobut that it is also an investment in yourself. Investing in your boudoir session is probably one of the best things you can do to empower yourself. Exist in portraits for you and your loved one. Your investment will last you throughout your lifetime and every time you look at your images, you will smile, feel all warm inside and your light will shine. By allowing your light to shine, you give permission for others to do the same. That’s empowerment.
Yes, you are worthy! You are worthy of existing in portraits. The most difficult step you will take is making that first phone call. Once you do, be prepared to see how very worthy you are and how this boudoir experience will forever change the way you see yourself, think about yourself. I’ve had clients tell me that they walk a little taller, hold their head a little higher and have a confident stride in their step. Isn’t that amazing? All because of one phone call.
That’s not what this is about. It’s all about empowering you. My philosophy is that women are beautiful creatures by design. We have gorgeous curves, we are mysterious by nature, and we are badasses. My job is to show you what I see: a beautiful woman who deserves to be in photos so that she can see what I see, a woman who needs to know she is gorgeous just the way she is — right here, right now. My imagery is showing the viewer the beautiful female form as well as her beautiful soul. I want the viewer to see a woman who is so worthy of being loved and so worthy of giving love . . . a woman who is not defined by society’s standards but is defined by her own standards. . . a woman who loves herself with her whole being and is proud of what she has become . . . a woman who is confident enough to take that first step on a journey to self-discovery and in the process is amazed at her uniqueness, her beauty and her originality.
