The thought of doing a boudoir session can be scary. When talking to women about their session, I get asked all kinds of questions. So, I wanted to compile a list of my 13 most recently asked questions to give you some insight on preparing for a boudoir session with me!

1. I am interested in a boudoir session but where do I start?

With every booked session, a zoom call is set up so that we can get to know each other and to go over all your questions and concerns, review what to wear, setting up a mood board and prepping you for your session.

2. Do you share my images?

My #1 priority is making sure my clients are comfortable, especially during a boudoir session! It can be a life changing experience but that can make it nerve wracking! Sometimes, you are learning to love your body and you aren’t quite ready to share the images with the world, or sometimes these photos are specifically for your spouse. These are all great reasons for not sharing your photos, so it all depends on your personal preferences. I will always ask permission as to which ones I can share as I am very cognizant of the nature of the images.

3. Do I have to wear lingerie?

The short answer? Absolutely not! There are tons of other ideas than lingerie. Just click this button for some ideas:

4. Do you have payment plans for boudoir session products?

We definitely offer payment plans. The session fee must be paid in full and the total order can be paid in three installments: 50% at the time of the booking, 50% of the balance 30 days later and the balance 60 days from date of order. All orders are final

5. Is makeup included in the boudoir session?

Most definitely!! You will arrive at the studio feeling a little overwhelmed, etc and this is the perfect time to unwind before your session. You will be served lite fare and drinks and soft jazz will be playing in the background while your stylist pampers you.

6. Do you photoshop my images?

I do edit your images for light, exposure and color balance. I do not, however, edit anything out that changes the way you look. I do tweak here and there but overall I want you to accept the parts of yourself that you are learning to love. Please keep in mind that I am skilled in posing and lighting to make you look your absolute best.

7. Where should I buy outfits for my boudoir session?

Most of my clients love Here are some other sites that may interest you:,,,

For local, women-owned businesses, check out Bra-la-la in Fulton, MD and A La Mode in Annapolis and Fells Point. Of course, Amazon has a variety of choices as well.

8. What type of print products do you have?

We offer custom designed leather albums in 3 sizes, custom folio boxes that hold 11″x14″ mats and 8″x10″ custom prints from 10 to 20 prints, metal prints starting at a 8″x12″ size and collections.

9. Do you offer digitals?

Digitals are available as an add on to any album, folio box or collection. We do not offer stand alone digitals as we believe every woman should exist in portraits and not on a digital file that will be placed in a drawer somewhere and looked at once in a while. Your investment in a boudoir session is an investment in you! Exist in portraits and fall in love with yourself every day.

10. I’m freaking out! How can I calm my nerves?

Nerves are all part of the experience! I always say that it would probably be weird if you WEREN’T nervous. The nervousness in the beginning of your shoot makes your moment of “WOW” seeing your photos for the first time so much better. To calm your nerves, I have soft jazz playing in the background while you get your makeup done. Before we start the session, I will ask you take a few deep breaths and relax as I gently start the session. Think of this part as a “warm up”. Then, we gently ease into the next third of the session where you will find you are more comfortable and by the third part of your session, you are totally relaxed and having the best time of your life. It’s all about the process, having faith in yourself and letting go.

11. How many outfits should I bring to my boudoir session?

Bring at least 5 outfits and we will choose 3.  You will also have access to our client wardrobe.

12. Should I get to my shoot early?

If you feel more comfortable, yes, can arrive about 5-10 minutes before your session, but it isn’t necessary.

13. Where is your studio located?
